A six-course lunch paired with six Mouton vintages.
For Mouton for Mwangaza, a benefit lunch for the Mwangaza Kids foundation, A Culinary Affair created a six-course lunch for 19 guests at a private residence in Wassenaar, with every course paired with a different Mouton vintage.
On 28 March 2026, the Mwangaza Kids foundation hosted Mouton for Mwangaza: an intimate benefit lunch for 19 guests at a private residence in Wassenaar. A Culinary Affair composed a six-course menu around a tasting of six Mouton vintages.
A menu composed around the wines
Each course was created to meet its wine. A tartlet of mixed mushroom duxelles with smoked shallot and Pecorino foam (2002). Lightly glazed tuna with grilled vegetables and crispy shallot (1990). Foglie verdi with mushrooms, 30-month aged Parmigiano Reggiano, a light mushroom broth and black truffle (1989). Duck breast with orange and duck jus, carrot cream and young leek (2009). Lamb shoulder with jus bordelaise, grilled aubergine and Brussels sprouts (2000). And to finish, Comté and very old Remeker with pane carasau, walnut and fig (2010).
Hospitality with a purpose
We composed a menu and service that welcomed guests with care, so the afternoon could centre on the wines, the conversation and the foundation's cause.
