A lustrum dinner for 400 guests, reception to dance floor.
For the lustrum of a women's society, A Culinary Affair hosted a seated three-course dinner for 400 members and alumni at Studio3000 in Amsterdam, from bubbles at the reception to a late-night dance floor.
To celebrate its lustrum, an Amsterdam women's society brought together 400 current members and alumni for an evening of shared stories and (re)connection. A Culinary Affair took care of the full event, from finding the venue to the last guest leaving the dance floor.
The venue
Studio3000 in Amsterdam-Noord is a 700 m² blank canvas, easily reached by ferry from Amsterdam Central Station and far enough from residential areas for a late-night party. It gave us the freedom to build our own kitchen, bring in our own drinks and shape the space with styling and rental to the client's vision.
The evening
Guests were welcomed with a glass of bubbles, followed by speeches and a seated three-course dinner at 40 round tables dressed in white linen and candlelight. After dessert the room turned into a dance floor with a DJ, and the evening ended in organised chaos.
The menu
A seasonal menu for 400: roasted cauliflower with Sri Lankan curry pumpkin mousseline and crispy leek, lemon and thyme marinated aubergine with pommes Amandine and classic caponata, and a bold chocolate mousse with caramelised croissant crumble to finish.
Cooking for 400
A full mobile satellite kitchen supported our kitchen team, with every course timed around the speeches. Build-up, logistics, crowd management and break-down were all handled by our own team.
